  • Is there a word/submission limit?
    - There is no word or submission limit. You can submit as many works as you’d like, for as many fandoms/medias as you want!

  • I want to create fan art or podfic of someone else’s work for the fest. What do I do?
    - If you want to create something based on someone else’s work, you must ask them for permission first and you must provide us with the original fan work’s link as well. We want to make sure everyone is properly credited, so please ensure you have the writer’s/artist’s permission.

  • My fic/work has multiple chapters/parts! What do I do?
    - You can submit an incomplete work, and we’ll keep track of its completion.

  • I’ve never written or created fan works before! I’m too new/bad/inexperienced/etc.
    - There are other ways to engage with the Fest, like reading fics, reblogging submissions, engaging with art work through commenting, and even encouraging others through fan labor and research! We encourage all creators, writers, artists, and fans of Thai works to join us.

  • I’ve never written about Thailand, Songkran, or Thai cultural practices!
    - We have a resources section compiled by several hardworking people that will continuously grow as we find more information. We encourage all participants to read these resources to better understand the significance and practices of Songkran. That being said, Songkran celebrations also vary widely across Thailand and the Thai diaspora around the globe, so we also encourage participants to conduct their own research as well.

  • How do I know if my work is written correctly?
    - The admins behind this event are exercising good faith interpretations of all work. Meaning, we won’t be deeming fanworks as “not Thai enough” and then rejecting those works. If you submit to the fest and it is Songkran related, we will accept your work. However, we ask all participants to write in a respectful and compassionate manner. If you don’t know something, look it up or ask the admins or your fandom community to help you find an answer!

  • I need an extension!
    - DM one of the moderators and let us know!

  • I have other questions!
    - If you’ve any questions, you can drop them in our ask box or DM a moderator on Discord.
